Language Acquisition: A Journal of Developmental Linguistics is an online content delivery service. The researches published in this journal makes a clear contribution to linguistic theories by increasing our understanding of how language is acquired. The journal focuses on the acquisition of syntax, semantics, phonology, and morphology, and considers theoretical, experimental, and computational perspectives.
Preference is given to papers which make a substantial theoretical contribution, irrespective of the particular theoretical framework employed, but the submission of papers presenting new empirical data of general theoretical interest is also encouraged. The journal carries research articles, as well as book reviews and shorter pieces on topics of current controversy. It may be downloaded and printed for personal reference.

This site is well organized for users. There are general instructions (format, headings, typeface, style for linguistic notations, citations, example sentences, footnotes, and acknowledgements) for users who want to subscribe to the journal. There are three ways to access it; online and print, online only, and print only. Users can freely choose the way to read the papers.

Kai von Fintel¡¯s website

English Linguistics->Semantics->Scholar

This is the personal website of Kai von Fintel, an associate professor of linguistics in the Department of Linguistics & Philosophy of MIT. It provides not only his course descriptions but also various resources on semantics. His interests and conference schedules are also included. His homepage consists of his own theses, semantic resources, and seminar reports. Also, it offers a lot of semantics texts written by Kratzer, Lewis, Chierchia, etc. In addition, he introduces his ongoing duties, research plans and his current classes in detail.

Among many personal websites of famous semanticists, this homepage may have the largest and latest semantics sources. Above all, it is directly linked to the Semantic Archive, one of the most renowned homepages in the semantic field.

Although readers will find precious and in-depth information in this homepage, the information is quite difficult for semantics beginners. Unfortunately, it does not contain any definition of semantic terms or theories. Therefore, if you want to get background knowledge of semantics, you should seek other websites.

5th International Semantic Web Conference

English Linguistics->Semantics->Conference

This is the official website for the 5th International Semantic Web Conference. This conference was hosted in Athens, Georgia, USA, from November 5 to 9, 2006. Semantic Web research has led to advances in technology which are beginning to be deployed in ways providing recent studies. Companies are accessing and using information more efficiently, government departments are interacting with each other more effectively, and e-scientists are making new discoveries. An additional objective of the track is to attract papers that describe concrete problems in industry, government, science and society for which Semantic Web technology would provide a solution. Such papers should analyze the problem and argue for the appropriateness of the Semantic Web technology, and provide an outline of possible solutions.

Natural Language Semantics

English Linguistics->Semantics->Journal
English Linguistics->Syntax->Journal

Natural Language Semantics is one of the most authoritative journals of semantics, and this website has a brief description of this journal. Springer.com provides this information. Natural Language Semantics is devoted to semantics and its interfaces in grammar, especially syntax. The journal seeks to encourage the convergence of approaches employing the concepts of logic and philosophy with perspectives of generative grammar on the relations between meaning and structure. Natural Language Semantics publishes studies focused on linguistic phenomena as opposed to those dealing primarily with the field's methodological and formal foundations.

Representative topics include, but are not limited to, quantification, negation, modality, genericity, tense, aspect, focus, presuppositions, anaphora, definiteness, plurals, mass nouns, adjectives, adverbial modification, nominalization, ellipsis, and interrogatives. The journal features mainly research articles, but also short squibs as well as remarks on and replies to pertinent books and articles.

However, as the Journals of Semantics homepage, you cannot get valuable information about semantics because this is a homepage for advertising. If you want to see the contents of the journal, you have to purchase it.
