The Journal of Pragmatics publishes articles, notes, discussions, and book reviews on pragmatics which deals with the aspects of natural and social interaction of language use. It provides a forum for pragmatic studies in sociolinguistics, general linguistics, conversation analysis, discourse analysis, cognitive linguistics, computational linguistics, applied linguistics and other areas of linguistic research.
The journal is explicitly interdisciplinary in a sense that it tries to cover neighbouring disciplines of linguistics as communication science, information science, psychiatry, and neuropsychology. It welcomes authoritative, innovative pragmatic scholarship from all practice-oriented linguistic standpoints. Empirical relevance, sound theoretic foundation, and formal as well as methodological correctness by currently accepted academic standards are the central criteria of acceptance for publication.
However, this webpage provides only surface information of the journal because it is for introduction and description, so you cannot see it through with details. This website is useful for students who are interested in pragmatics and other disciplines.
