English Literature->Poetry->By period->20th century
This is a section for William Carlos Williams in the comprehensive literary web, Modern American Poetry, prepared and compiled by Cary Nelson. Just like other sections of the main site, this Williams' page has its own independent structure which contains biography and several essays on his major works. When considering conciseness of his poetry, some essays are consequently short, while others are surprisingly minute. The source of most writings presented here are published books such as poetry anthology, autobiography, or critical essay collection. Therefore, the site is credible and fairly scholarly. Although the site does not provide the individual poems, it is a very helpful source for many students who study Williams' poetry. I strongly recommend you to bookmark the site to refer to its contents, not only for W.C.W but also for many other poets.
