English Literature->Poetry->By period->20th century English Literature->Poetry->By period->Contemporary
The official homepage of The Poetry Foundation, publisher of Poetry magazine. The Poetry foundation¡ªestablished in 2003, evolving from the Modern Poetry Association founded in 1941¡ª is an independent literary organization and one of the largest literary foundations in the world. The site provides users with a comprehensive range of information about poets and poetry in English in general. It shows features from the magazine Poetry and articles and news related to poetry written by literary journalists every week. It also introduces published books and best sellers. The most valuable and helpful part of the site, however, is its archive section, which not only gives explanation on poetry tools and reading guides, but also contains more than 3,000 contemporary and classic poems in English by more than 250 poets. Furthermore, new works and articles are continually added to the archive. As the foundation says, you can think of it as an anthology—continually updated by editors, by critics, and by readers as they read and comment on what they find. The site might seem a little difficult to explore at first because a lot of menus that cover different sorts of information are against somewhat confusingly. But users will get used to the structure of the site sooner or later, and they can directly find whatever material they need by using the search engine. This is definitely a great source for everyone. It covers comprehensive contents, provides professional and in-depth knowledge, and is up-to-date.

English Literature->Poetry->By period->20th century
Bishop's author home page on MAPS is maintained by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The webpage provides some critical essays on the poet herself as well as on her well-known works, such as "The Fish," "The Man-Moth," "At the Fishhouses," "One Art," etc. Visitors can read the correspondences between Marianne Moore and Bishop, related with the genesis of the poem, "The Fish." These essays and letters are mostly excerpts of longer articles and books, with the full publication information given at the end of every section. Besides the essays on Bishop's individual poems, the page contains articles on interesting topics such as "Comparing Bishop's "At the Fishhouses" and Adrienne Rich's "Diving into the Wreck"." It also arranges the photos of Bishop's book jackets and links with other relevant websites. Comprehensive and interesting site.

Poetry of Robert Frost- from www.ketzle.com |

English Literature->Poetry->By period->20th century English Literature->Poetry->By period->19th century
A website about Robert Frost created and run by Jeff Ketzle, a self-confessed fan of Frost. It provides more than 100 poems of Frost's as well as biographical information ¡ª a minute chronology ¡ª on the poet. The poems are put together under the title of each book they belong to. The books include West-Running Brook, New Hampshire, North of Boston, A Boy's Will and so on. Although comprehensive coverage of the poems is the strength of this source, it also provides other Robert Frost Links, some of which are not available any more, and a link to Key West Heritage House Museum and Robert Frost Cottage. It also introduces a book about Frost and kindly shows how to search for his poems via google.com with useful tips. As the owner himself declares, this is the personal web page of a fan. Modestly saying that neither he nor his site should be considered authoritative on this subject, he warns students against the possibility of typos and recommends to refer to more credible source for citation. However, this is certainly a very helpful source to gain some knowledge about Robert Frost and a lot of his poems.
