The Camelot Project in University of Rochester

English Literature->Manuscripts
English Literature->Poetry->By period->Medieval,Middle English(1066-1500)
English Literature->Prose & Novel->

The Camelot Project, in my opinion, is the best website on medieval romances available right now. It provides a complete link to the TEAMS Middle English texts, which is the e-text version of all works of medieval literature published by Western Michigan University. The Camelot Project also has links to post-medieval reworkings of Arthurian legends, as well as many helpful and interesting articles written by professors and students in Rochester. Moreover, this web site is very well maintained--the latest update was done in August 2008. Anyone that has an interest in Arthurian romances but do not know what to read or where to start should check out this web site.

Hap Hazard: A Manuscript Resource for Spenser Studies

English Literature->Poetry->By period->English Renaissance(1500-1640)
General Resources->Digital Repositories
English Literature->Manuscripts

¡°Hap Hazard¡± is a pretty useful web resource aimed at scholars researching on Edmund Spenser (1552-1599). It offers an e-text of a collection of documents written by Spenser in his capacity as secretary in the Elizabethan administration of Ireland. Such archives interest those who study Elizabethan Irish history. Another manuscript of Spenser, ¡°A View of the Present State of Ireland¡± is also contained, including an introduction, textual notes, collaborative interpretive notes, and supplementary materials. Besides, his poetry and prose related to Irish political and literary context are provided, entitled ¡®Other Materials¡¯. Those manuscripts on this website help scholars or students to further understand Elizabethan Ireland
