The House of Usher

English Literature->SF/Fantasy/Horror

Despite its unsophisticated layout, The House of Usher provides a truly wide range of resources. A thorough look into the website will lead you to many of its entertaining treats that cover everything related to Poe¡¯s works.

Most impressive is its all-encompassing library that deals with interesting and significant materials and events influenced by the works of Edgar Allan Poe. These include recent audio works, bibliographies, societies, movies, musicals, comics, and theatre pieces. Everything is so broad in range that one can easily notice the widespread impact that Poe¡¯s literary world had on contemporary culture.

Although most of the material is provided in links, the scope of this site is truly unlimited. Its list of miscellanea may seem to lack focus and depth. However, it could be a great source of amusement for younger readers and it would be most suitable for any reader of Poe¡¯s works who wishes to start a basic online research.
